mise aris.....i forgot to mention that field the patients were brought too was ...also used as a landing strip for gussy wynnes flying armada....it was also the sight of coursing events .......peter omalleys greyhounds....hughie mcgartland....pat lavelle....paddy moclair...and others.....we'd watch as the hare was released ......from the bushes.....then the hounds.......also during the big one ww2 ....the local defence force would march out there to look for v1's....we endured many a blackout......but hitler had heard cromwells comments....to hell or to connaught....so he said to hell with that....the only germns we experienced were karl and gerda wheymere.....refugee children....that were housed by buddy staunton and mrs staunton of regans....i have a lot of stories af karl and gerda.....we were friends....although he broke my jaw ....once.....i do not edit my copy....so all and everyone forgive my typos....and any misspelling.....i write it as it flows out.....tog go bog e.....
