Thank you all very much for your thoughts. She would have appreciated them and I am sure all the family do. We brought her back to the shop on Monday night and the neighbours came in and said goodbye. I was like old times, listening to the stories and the yarns and sending her off with a smile. Her old friend Bridie Scriney held her hand and said: Tell Pa to put the kettle on, I'll be up shortly. Bishop Neary called to say a few prayers. As Ernie Sweeney said the next day, there was even royalty at the funeral in Breaffy. The King of the Tinkers, Johnny 'Petrol' Maughan came to pay his respects. It was very gratifying and touching that so many people came out over the last few days to bid such a wonderful and beautiful farewell to such a wonderful and beautiful lady. Go raibh Maith agaibh. Slan go foill, a Mhamai.
