I am looking for information about any Langan family members who originated from Castlebar in the late 19th Century. My great grandfather, John Langan (c1875) and great grandmother Mary Mahon (c1871)both catholics were married in Castlebar (c1892) and had 11 children between then and WWI. Thomas (c1893), Patrick (1895), Margaret (1896), John, my grandfather (1898), James (1900/01), Luke (1902), Martin (1905), Mary (1908), Christopher (1911), Michael & Kate (post-1911). Thomas died not long after birth so remained in Castlebar but the rest of the family left for Liverpool post-1915. Possibly lived in New Antrim Street for a period of time. Michael Langan it is rumoured returned to Castlebar sometime later. Long-shot but any local information would be greatly appreciated as all attempts to date to discover details have failed.
