I have suffered extreme anxiety and fear for many years because of De La salle bros and also lay teachers. I am talking now of the 50s and 60s,The punishment dished out by those brutes was uncalled for.Both st pats and st geralds had these brutes of teachers.The truth shall set you free,its great I can now voice these terrible Hurts that were inflicted on me as a child.I need to grieve ,and am attending counceling .I became an Suffering Alcoholic/also Drug Addict,Clean now TG for 20 years.There were many savages,but the worst in my case were in st geralds.Two that stand out=,Come up here himself, Proffessorrrrrrrrrrr gerry ryan.He used to get the leather beating straps especially made by a tailor in town,different thicknesses and lengths and inserted in special inside pockets in his suit jacket. The after pain those straps could leave was horribley painful and he knew it,shame on both of them,him and the tailor that made them.I you forgot your beads,you were in for it.He always had his own beads in his top pocket.I can bearly breath remembering this stuff.Bro Flavian,another brute, He would lift you off the floor by the locks, and dump the hair on your copy in front of you,The slaps he gave with the cane was horrific, 6 of the best,more like 6 of the worst,He also used the window pole to dig me in the ribs and shoulders, I swore I sort him out after I had left college,He died on me before I GOT TO do anything.May GOD have mercy on both.Slan.
