a cara.......you certainly researched ....."posh".....for which i'm gratefulyour researchand discovery is very interesting......however my meaning was to be more in the vein of.....i say reggie...old chap....we were invited to a posh party at their country estate.....what do you say dear boy!.......elegant.....fancy....refined....high class.....chic....swell.....smart......stylish.....extravagant....lavish....swanky....ritzy.......chi-chi.......
in the '40s we in mchale road were never considered ....chic....by those that thought they were......we were labelled anything but high class....mchale road was called abbysynnia....and we were always viewed as the lower class....
however the original families of mchale road had a unique pohness of their own....we were a community of strong fibre.....strong character.....the ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience ....but rather where he stands at times of challenge and cotroversy....

so going to church lake in my day for somebody from mchale road was not on........yes sir....church lake was too posh...........
.....tog go bog e.........
