I remember Tom McNicholas and his wife who lived at Aughadrina, Castlebar. He passed away about forty years ago. Tom was an excellent farmer and specialised in horticultural produce. His farm was well kept and Tom himsef was always well turned out, neat and natty. I believe he had a brother who lived at Ballynew, Castlebar. Members of the McNichholas family still live in Ballynew.
