In response to Spiceloft, I too, used to stuff envelopes with raffle tickets at Gerry McDonald's house. Bro Conloth used to get a group of boys from his class to volunteer their services. The only reward was that we got fed with tea and biscuits which was a real treat for most of us. We would then go back and open all of the returned envelopes which contained the ticket stubs and money. I can remember this clearly as I had never seen so much money in my life.
