but still remembering jack cassidy......brings me back to ellison street....one saturday evening....there was an election looming.....clan na talmbhan.....fine gael....had set up their pitch outside ...the old county cinema and tanseys.......joe blowick....dominick cafferty....and a young henry kenny occupied the arena......down on main street.....fiana fail had erected their dais outside the old munster and leinster bank ....here miceal o morain....and his allies manned the stage......as the shades of evening descended some lit torches.......the proceedings.....the defense of the nation and constitution......began....down at the bridge .... sean mcbride s clann na poblachta...had pitched their platform......

....at ellison street......joe blowick ...apppealed to the people of.....cashlebaar......mick moran ....performed more pompously...in his call to the masses.....then joe began to assassinate the squandering of dev....in his buying of tulyar.....in the words of joe ....at a total cosht......of 50 thousand pounds......and other missuse of the state finances.....joe began to yell his proposals and ....in the midst of his bantering.....jack .....shouted up........and what about the working man.......no sooner had he said it ....tommy darcy.....exclaimed.....jack.....sure ya never worked a day in your life.......will ya let the man talk.........there was laughter ....and heckling......and louder voices .....and yells coming from main street.....mick moran.....started tearing and chipping at ;....blowicks......proposals......only to be silenced by joes....i will not engage miself in a tinkers fight with no man......the antics the circus continued.......jack ...didnt look for a job.......tommy darcy continued to drove cattle.....and fine gael and a coalition formed the next govt......joe blowick became minister for lands.......and all was well ....once upon a good time........
