Someone once told me that it was the biggest crib in Ireland. With a black and white telly and one station there wasnt too much time spent in front of the telly over Christmas. As a youth I had a delivery job and McHale Road was my run. It was acklowledged as the best place in town to get tips at Christmas and I can atest to that. I am sure a lot of the people didnt have much, and but what they lacked in material wealth they made up for in wealth of character and common decency.
