a cara.....we are in the run up to christmas.....and so many memories jump alive......one of them is christmas 1958......i was in cleveland ohio...i felt as i stayed at my sisters house all mchale road was in the buckeye state.....the house was filled with dear friends.....monica mcginty...nora and molly chambers .....kevin .."the bonestick" mcginty....john brennan....stephen callaghan....tommy and roger fallon....josie cunningham and nancy cruish.....we sat around for christmas dinner....and kevin exclaimed......olly....lets write to the connaught .....now that kruschev has made his move ...why not jack cassidy....{this related to the fact that the russia had launched sputnik.....}....later that night we went to a dance to be serenaded by bridie gallagher....and moonlight in mayo.......
....51 years have passed since then ....some mentioned may not be with us.....but in 1958 we had a castlebar christmas......and every detail is stored and treasured......
