Happy New Year to you Max.I think you are right.I think it was one time we went up to see Aunt Mary in Gortacurra or were taking her back up after Christmas when we saw them.I definitely remember people calling them mummers.You are also correct as Butch would say ,stay on this side of the bridge it is safer.So long as the bridge has been gritted that is!
