You could be right about the Dwyer house - especially with the Curragh connection. I remember alright that the main house in Spencer Park was accessed from Spencer street.
But my theory that there might once have been a gate lodge at the start of Pavillion road isn't supported by the 1838 map, although there seems there was a structure of some sort there - on the right where the entrance gate to the old Church of Ireland school was.
Anyone know more about Spencer Park?
