Down through the years, the local Town Council has given numerous Citations/Addresses of Welcome to extinguished guests or locals whom did something to bring honour to the Town, eg. All the Irish Presidents have visited the town and most, if not all have received something official. I wonder what happens to these? Are they just filed away, never to be seen again? Can I ask any interested Public Representative out there to look into the matter? Perhaps, an exhibition of these could be facilitated by the County Library and in the long term, any new Municipal building could perhaps display them.
