Mrs. Anne Maria Dennison, National President Irish Countrywomen's Association will attend the Spring meeting of the Mayo Federation in the Welcome Inn Hotel, Castlebar on Sunday next, February 21st to launch the local centenary celebrations of the organisation which was founded in 1910 in Bree, Co. Wexford. Hosting the event will be the Castlebar Guild who this year celebrate their 60th birthday. The Castlebar Guild of the ICA was formed in 1950. The founding members were the late Mrs. Joan O'Malley, Mountain View; Mrs. Maureen Durcan, Main Street; Mrs. Margaret McGuinness, Milebush and Ms. Kay Duffy, Linenhall Street
