Thanks, MM for making that connection for me.
I saw reference on the board to Eileen's death alright, but hadn't realised that she was a Hoban of Main Street.
It's very sad to knowing that now. My condolences to her family and friends.
In the supermarket I recall always seeing... it must have been Mrs Hoban?.. through a large window overlooking the shop floor from her desk with full view of everything below.
She was probably all the security that was required in those days!
The boys - Eileen's brothers - were more my age group.
Happy memories of endless summer days lazing down by the river at the back of their premises - long before the bridge to Chapel Street was built.
