a cara......i know how hard farmers worked ....they worked to the bone.......and although i never experienced those hardships......i had some exposure........my reference was to the activity around farms.....the making of hay.....cutting the oats ...wheat and barley....cutting turf.....who could forget looking at a donkey and creels.....with baskets full of turf...sadly these scenes are not to be found anymore.....
