MURRISK HERITAGE LOOP

The Tóchar Valley Ramblers will be meeting for a guided walk on:
Saturday 27th November 2010 Time: 10.30am.

The walk is along seashore, quite country roads & tracks and through mountain commonage and encompasses a number of historical sites, including Murrisk Abbey, 19th century oyster storage ponds, Murisk Pier, Fisherman's Memorial etc.

Walk is been led by well known historian and guide Mr. Brian Hoban. This is a free guided walk held in conjunction with the Tňchar Valley Rural Community Network and Murrisk Development Association.

Starting Place: Murrisk Community Centre,
Croagh Patrick Car Park, Murrisk, Co. Mayo.

Level of fitness required moderate. Distance of walk is 12km & will last approx. 2˝ to 3 hours. .A shorter route is aavailable for less experienced walkers.

The Tóchar Valley Ramblers operate a policy of “Leave No Trace”
“Please leave nothing after you except footprints & take nothing away except photographs.”

Please bring suitable footwear, rain gear and bottle water. If you have high visibility vest please bring along
