A friend of mine from Lahardane,Marcella reminds me that there is a wonderful article in the 2010 Castlebar Parish Magazine about Caslebar victims of the Titanic. It includes a story of William Luke Duffy. You may want to contact the Connaught Telegraph Newspaper in Castlebar to find out where to get a copy of the Magazine.
"In April 1912 fourteen men and women from Addergoole, in North Mayo, set sail from Queenstown, Cork for a new life in America. Within days, eleven had died in the icy waters of the North Atlantic. Their ship, ‘Titanic’, sank on her maiden voyage."
Senan Molony wrote a book, The Irish Aboard the Titanic, which I understand from Marcella has a lot of wonderful information. He writes for the Irish Independent.I will post a link for the Addergoole Titanic Society.I hope this helps.
