Had him in 4th class in 63. He was an extremist from the southwest. He carreied out severe assaults on 4 boys. There was blood on the new woodblock flooring. Stomachs knotted and hearts pumping as we witnessed these beatings.
Some of his oft repeated utterances " it may be a terrible thing lads that Hitler killed 6 millun Jews but we must ask ourselves was it the revenge of Jaysus for what they had done to him" and " never go to to England lads, oou can see the sin in tje wather when ure getting off the boat"
He was a man infused with a toxic mix of extreme Catholicism, a hatred of all things British and God only knows what else. I beleive he was transferred abruptly to the village of Hospital in Co. Limerick. He sghould never have been allowed into a classroom.
