Excellant local story in the Connaught Telegraph about William Rooney and the lost painting. I used to wonder years ago, who this Rooney guy was that the Hall in Tucker Street was named after. I remember also reading an article in the Parish Magazine years ago about him which was done by Alan King, Castlebar Library.
