You are absolutely correct, Graham Hill visited Castlebar Airport on several ocassions. He used to visit Lord Louis and Lady Edwina Mountbatten at Classybawn castle in Mullaghmore. I also had the pleasure of meeting Lady Edwina when she came to collect her guest, and what a lovely down to earth person she was. Mr. Hill used to fly a twin engined aircraft and one day he brought me for a ride in it around Caslebar. The aircraft was sponsored, if my memory serves me right, by the Embassy cigarrette company. I believe he died later while approaching to land the aircraft at a golf course in England, I can't recall the year.
