a cara.....yes indeed kevin was a virtuoso....many years ago....when the collins family had a furniture emporiom opposite sims field....kevin could be heard giving many a recital....the buildings were there for years and frank deasy was their driver ...storeman...and general gash man......later john joe collins and sons opened a store on castle street....and both kevin and his father often delighted many walking along castle lane with the sweetest sounds this side of heaven.....john joe was indeed a wonderful flautist....and his sound was comparable to the great jean paul rampall......incidentally their store window was much admired in those days of yore.... with the greatest collection of dinky toys....this side of the little drummer boy.....the store had a collage of rare artifacts....and items.....and musical instruments were a specialty......kevin gave many a recital at the mansion house.....and featured as concert master in many musical presentations in the town hall....the collins name was synonomous with ....music....and old castlebar.....
