Sad news indeed, may she rest in peace.
I remember Se‡n and Mary.
And I recall the enchanting sounds of a piano wafting through an open window of their house in Castle Street - Madam Bourke at the keyboard, we'd always presume.
As children, we were always fascinated by her remarkably long fingers, slightly turned up at the tips. The fingers of a renowned musician. May she too rest in peace.
Castle Street, it seems, was blessed with musical talent back then: the Bourkes; Stephen Garvey; Kevin Collins; perhaps there were others too?
