Interesting to hear of Mrs. Catherine Sweeney. Wonder if she was connected to the Rainsford family, whose paternal grandmother was Sweeney. Archdeacon Fallon was a very charitable man. He had a man come up from a radio shop in the 'forties or so and when he heard the cost of the radio and installation asked him to take it away with him, giving the man two shillings for his trouble and admitting that he couldn't spend such money on a radio when 'there are people starving in this town.' My mother told me this story.
