Seems to be a lot of talk lately about the overuse of climbing St. Patrick
Like breaking some record in climbing it 100 times in a weekend who cares.
I have climbed it about 15 times over a span of 30 years and that was on the day called Reek Sunday. Appartently the mountain is wearing out with all the human traffic. Fr Fahey Parish priest of Ballintubber abbey has spoken out against the comercialisation of Croagh Patrick. People who want to climb mountains, let them find another mountain, there are lots of them around Mayo. Any view on this subject
