Some local members of the class of 1948-49 from St Patricks National School, Castlebar, are organising a class reunion, this will take place in Gerry Tolsters Bar, Spencer Street at 9.30pm on Friday the 24th of August 2012.
There will be a buffet, music and sing song on the night and if enough members are willing a private sit down meal for class members will be arranged for Sunday night the 26th of August.
The organising committe are anxious to contact the following members Kevin O'Connell, Oliver & Mickey Pluck, Jimmy Ryan, Lar Lyons, John Nolan, Willie Lavelle, Tom Nyland, Sean Gilboy, Harry Farrell, Michael Finnerty, Vincent McNickolas, Jimmy Madden, Michael Hoban & Francie McTiernan.

The locals who attended the initial meeting or sent messages of support included Joe Foy, Kevin O'Malley, John Feeney, Joe Redmond and Peter Murray who travelled over from London.
