I did not think anybody would be interested, but nice if some people do. I was surprised that some 35 have viewed the copies of the original letters/notes.

I am not certain where the Freestones moved, but they are buried together

Dorothy was an only child and never got married or had children as far as we can tell. Richard Freestone came from Teddington Middlesex (fairly close to Wimbledon).

W.U. Urquhart is a different story altogether.
He was born in 1897 and was a pilot in the RFC/RAF in France and Flanders first before joining sqb 105 in Castlebar. We do not know whether the Freestones saw him as a possible partner for their 19 year old Dorothy Jane (He was 21/22 at the time). What is known that he later met Ruth Hegarty from Clonbur and married her. With her he established several speed records in the twenties. (See the book Fast Women by John Bullock P58 and on) you can just view these pages in the preview from both amazon and google books.
After/during that he went more and more into Law and co-founded Urquhart-Dykes&Lord which is a big lawfirm in IP (intellectual property etc.) see udl.co.uk .

He has written a book (Reminiscences of an RFC pilot) that does deal to some extent with his stay in Ireland.
In Castlebar the RAF pilots lived in Maryland House. Fairly close to the RAF airfield (where nowadays the Baxter factory is).

I hope to find evidence of some more of his exploits. I also would love to confirm/dispel whether he/his family knew the Freestones.

Since UDL have funded a book about their co-founder I am hoping they'll let me access his original flight-logs to see if he welcomed the first atlantic crossing in June 1919 and the second in July 1919.

That's it so far.
