The Gas Works Directory & Statistics - 1912-13 states that the company was formed in 1909. Share Capital £4,000. Annual make of gas - 4,175,700: Annual Sale - 4,082,100. Number of stoves supplied - 15. Slot Meters - 12. Ordinary Meters - 150.
Price per 1,000 cu.ft. - Ordinary - 6s.3d: Engines & Stoves - 5s: Slots - 13 ft. per 1d.
Public lamps - 52 (all incandescent.Price paid - £100.
2 gasholders - 1 of 10,000 cu.ft. & 1 of 20,000 cu.ft. capacity.
Chairman & Enfineer - William Steele, Athlone.
Manager - Robert Scott, Castlebar.
Secretary - M.J.Egan, Gas Works, Castlebar.
Registered Offices - 60, Connaught Street, Athlone.(Information dated 30th April 1912).
