'Uncle Tom' was an amazing man alright and showed us all that calm living was good for you!!
He was my Mams uncle ( Kathleen Mc Hale née Ketterick) and was a regular caller to our home and more often to visit Dad since Mam died. I had the pleasure of making him an omelette only a while ago.
A generation of fortitude has left us now.
