Bridie was a long established part of castlebar...she in her early life lived with her grandmother nanan stewart in that iconic thatched house which always stood out in its perpetual whitewash....at procession times the house was always beautifully adorned in flowers ..statues..and religious pictures...on mayday the outside of the house was carpeted in mayflowers....she was a gentle soul but with the ability to speak her mind..she and I were of similar age...may she rest in peace
