Address of Welcome to Earl of Lucan

Posted by Parent on January 19, 2015 at 21:45:41:

I went to an exhibition on WW1 in St Joseph's Sec. School last Friday by my daughter's transition year class. They did a great job and inside had a life size replica of a trench. What was very interesting though was that the School came across an Address of Welcome to the Earl of Lucan in the late 1890's which was signed by about 50 prominent people from the town. With the help of Alan King from the Library, they researched and found out the identity of all the signatures. It would be great it they could display the Address and details on this board sometime.
