the sad news has made its way to me of the death of my old friend class mate from infants to primary cert....we were the mchale road brotherhood....friendship that was fused in our bones....we of mchale road had a unique bond....from our adventures to saleen lake....to sports....many humorous memories jump to the fore about our days and years with bro. Abban .........as we did everything to avoid his wrath and terror.......in the late forties John started par time work in parsons shoe store....and after primary joined the parson team full time......we drifted apart as Isoon left home...but we met from time to time on my return visits.....we were to have met a few years ago at the class of 49 reunion....but I was unable to attend.....mchale road harvested strong bonds of friendship.....and these are galvanised in our hearts.....memories of friends trigger warmth...comraderie....John rest in peace my friend....to the Feeney family of which I have the greatest respect...I extend my sincerest and deepest condolences.......yes indeed a long dark veil has engulfed mchale road.....
