I'd belated add my sympathies and admiration for Patsy. He had a great passion for the Irish language and his renenditions of poetry during our leaving cert years gave me and many more a new found appreciation for the language, right down to us coming up with our own form of Gael Slang such as "Tabhair doim cuaig a dearthair" as in "Gimme 5 bro!".
