Martin Cunnane RIP

Posted by Pj on December 14, 2015 at 04:18:46:

Sad to report the untimely death of Martin Cunnane of Cottage rd and late of Cloonaghmore Breaffy after a brave 4 year battle with illness.

I first met Martin in Breaffy NS when I was a wee infant and he was in the big lads class. In later years he worked with my dad and we had lots of craic and laughs in his company in the course of 12 years.

Afterwards he went on to pursue probably the activity he enjoyed best himself, as a gardener in Turlough House Gardens. But his own garden, and indeed right across the Cottage rd in front of his and Emily's house was a testament to his dedication, passion and talent as a Gardener.

The recurring theme of Martin's persona discussed on Sunday at his funeral and at the graveyard, was of an absolute, frequently smiling gentleman, who never spoke ill of anyone. Even during his battle for health over the past four years he always spoke with courage and optimism and without complaint for his condition.

RIP Martin. Breaffy will dearly miss yet another taken far too soon.

Sincere sympathy to Emily and his brother and sister and brothers and sister in laws and a whole entourage of nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
