Hello there!
I've just found the Castlebar Nostalgia Board on the internet.
My g-g-grandfather was William Dwyer (coachbuilder - born in Co. Mayo) and his wife was Dorothy Delia Fetherstone who married in Strokestown, Co. Roscommon, in 1840. They sailed to Hobart, Australia in December 1840 (along with Thomas and Marianne Dwyer & 3 children). William and Delia settled in Norfolk Plains (Longford), Launceston, had 2 children (the eldest being Ellen, my g-grandmother, the second was Marianne) for the next few years. They later moved to Victoria on the Australian mainland and had 3 more children. William had a coachbuilding business off Bourke Lane, Melbourne. Apparently they later moved to Sydney, New South Wales. However, I do not know any more about the Dwyer family. Anthony Dwyer also sailed to Australia in 1840 and married Eliza Kirwin. They settled in or near Geelong, Victoria. If you know who William and Thomas' parents were, I would be very grateful to have the info.

Thank you in advance.
