Here's a thought for those of you (us) old enough to remember when we were taught that God is watching your every move - so you better be good for goodness sake. Like Santa Claus he sees you when you are asleep and he sees when you are awake.
But wait!
Today, while we may no longer believe that God (or Santa) is watching us all the time, we put tape over our computer's camera, we know there's CCTV at the bring bank and any likely rubbish tipping point, cameras at bridges to stop people committing suicide, speed cameras at the side of the road to catch us speeding, CCTV outside every shop in town, Crime cameras on lampposts, and even many private houses have their own God-like watching eyes and doorbell cameras to make sure you don't do anything naughty.
Do we feel safer? Do we behave better now that 'God' is definitely watching us all the time?
