That's a good question.....It's interesting to note that when the plan to erect a memorial was first mooted,it was opposed by the then Chairman of C/bar U.D.C.,Mr.A.C.Larminie, who was also agent to the Earl of Lucan.
It would be interesting to see if the officials in the Town Council are even aware that the covenant exists and if they are, why was the statue given the go ahead? Tribunal,anyone?
