Washing the vessels = washing the dishes
gammy: faulty e.g. a gammy leg
cant: fun, crack e.g. we had great cant last night
deadly: terrific, great e.g. a deadly footballer
collossal: great e.g. the picture was collossal
And a couple of local pronunciations:
"Wind" often pronounced as "win" ("t" omitted)
"Cousin" often pronounced as "cousint" ("t" added!!)
