Have just found out its Mothers Day in Ireland that Sunday. So we may see a lot of you out honouring your own mothers.

"The fourth Sunday of Lent is traditionally called Mothering Sunday. Possibly a remnant of a Church tradition where parishner's where encouraged to pay a visit to their "Mother" church or Cathedral at this time in the Church calender.

Later it became popular for domestic servants to return home for this day, bearing cakes for their Mother and family - hence "Mothering Sunday"

Nowadays it is more popularly know as "Mother's Day" - a day for children to wait on their mother, and to give cards and gifts. A day to celebrate and thank your mum for the immeasurable love and care that she has given you."
