Yes it's a gif and we can post it as a jpg - no problem. It's a photocopy of an old one inch Ordnance Survey sheet circa 1911 or thereabouts (i.e. out of copyright). They were first surveyed in the 19th Century and revised up to 1920 or so. The Irish maps were the first Ordnance Survey maps to be drawn up - i.e. before England etc. and are reckoned to be the best maps ever drawn (well apart perhaps from the anglicisation of the Irish place names - see Translations by Brian Friel etc.). The modern half inch series were just poor copies really. However the new 1:50,000 Discovery Series are based on modern aerial photographs and are not bad at all.
