No work and big emigration. Family and friends in tough times in tough neighbourhoods in Liverpool, Manchester, Birmngham and London. "no Irish need apply" signs. Familys where the husband was always away in England sending money home. Hatred for places like Turlough House and Westport House places built on the backs of the people. Now there "our" culture. Moore Hall burned to the ground in 1925. Now its going to be rebuilt and furnished with second hand fake things as part of "our" heritage. Stupid waste of time and money. There are still needy people in Ireland. Spend spend spend with never a thougth for a rainy day.
