I remember eggs(gugs) being preserved for use through the winter. The eggs were placed in a large container full of water in which a special chemical was mixed. I think the mix had a blue tinge and was kind of oily or viscous. I don't suppose anybody preserves eggs like that today but does anybody know what the special chemical additive was ????
