Quink! Wow! I remember that. Anyone remember the dipping ink-wells on the desks with the slidy tops. Messy blue fingers, lips tongues, clothes and no automatic washing machines. And when the nib collapsed the points parting ways - either because you were putting too much pressure on the page or else you were using it as a weapon to defend yourself against the guy across the row? Never wrote the same afterwards no matter how you try to get the two halves to match up again. Quink was probably a better class of ink though than the stuff they made up from powder in the national schools. Never like the greeny-blacky-bluey colour and it had a peculiar smell too. Bet it was cheap though.
