md,with regard to your granduncle being a coroner,I found a very interesting book when I was in Ireland in March.Its called Melancholy Madness-A Coroners Casebook. by Michelle McGoff-McCann.Its an account of the inquests recorded in William Waddells coroners casebook.He was a coroner in Co Monaghan in the 1800's.Amazing stories.Try and get a copy if you can,if not Ill pass it on to you when I finish it.
