Hi Adrian,

great to hear from an "old" !!!! 5th Cavalry man
way out in Iraq. We were very worried sometime back when we heard a rumour that you had gone missing out in Iraq. It turns out you were not even out there at that time, I think your brother was. Often think of you out there, and worry about you, and hope you come home safely to Castlebar, and your family in Breaffy. The poor old 5th Cav is being slowly ground down by the present Goverment, and very soon will be integrated into the 4th Cav in Longford from what I am hearing. It's a sad end to a proud Cavalry Squadron. Was at Col. Niall Daly's retirement doo in Cork a month or two ago. All the old good ones are going, and poor Brendan Lally is not too well at the moment.

Glad to hear from you , mind yourself, and come back safe.

Go neiri an t-ad leat

your old "commander" John D Clark
