yes ,in that campaign ,when the british retraced humberts course after his defeat at ballinamuck,and being supplied with the information by the french ,they rounded up the supporters of the rebellion , and in the towns along the way they set up centres where they decided their fate ,,,,,in most towns they had areas designated as ,gallows hill,freedon hill and stab all and every third one was sent to his given direction ,so depending on where you came in line if you were lucky you might have got freedom hill
