Mecomb House also known as Milcum is not Newport House Hotel, but the connection is that it was originally owned by the O'Donel family of Newport House.It is situated due west from Newport on one of the many headlands of Clew Bay, overlooking the sea.It is a two story mid 18th Cent house.
