By the way you mentioned Michael Walsh of St. Patricks Avenue, aka Polawalla, lives over the road from me. Quite often I see him cycling around the area having a bit of good old fashioned exercise, now that his soccer playing days are in the past. He is married and has a family and rins a hostelry at the end of the town, a few yards from Tommy Prendergast. Which reminds me, Fr. Tommy Murphy from the Turlough Road said mass on Sunday and had a chat with him afterwards.He would have been around the same era as Mick Walsh and Tommy Prendergast.
