It's great to see so many new books by local authors.
A few spring to mind...Past Connection by Sean Lyons of Spencer Street,Ivor Hamrock from C/bar Library has just had his book "The Famine in Mayo" reprinted.It has a beautiful cover with the Famine Ship monument of Louisburgh on the front.
Also,Mayo County Library have brought out recently "The Story of Mayo" by Rosa Meehan.A lovely book full of history and photographs & considering that other books on Mayo such as Knox's,Quinns,etc., are years old,very timely.
