Yes indeed fond memories of Mammy Hanley.Only heard a few hours ago that she has passed away.She must have taught many generations of Castlebar boys. I will always remember, as a very small lad, going with my Dad on a Sunday afternoon walk to visit her. Maybe she had just moved into her new house beyond Gallows Hill at the time. It was probably around the late fifties. My Dad and herself would have been of the same vintage I guess. She was a lovely lady, a terrific teacher and I never heard anyone say a negative word about her. May she rest in peace.
